If you are arriving in Istanbul for business, the Mercedes E-Class is the car to ask for. It seats up to three passengers with three bags, it is quiet and composed on the motorway run into the city, and it looks the part pulling up at a hotel or an office without the expense of our flagship saloon.

It sits a step above our vans in comfort and finish, and a step below the S-Class in price — which for most business trips is exactly the right place to be. The cabin is well insulated, the rear seats have proper leg room, and there is enough space between you and the driver to take a call in peace.

As with every vehicle in our fleet, you are met inside the arrivals hall with a name sign, your flight is tracked, and the fare is agreed before you travel.

Why a Private Transfer Rather Than a Taxi

A taxi from the airport means a queue, a meter, a driver you have not been introduced to and a total you cannot predict. A private transfer means a named chauffeur who is already waiting when you land, a car you chose, and a price you agreed days earlier.

The difference is largest exactly when you can least afford a problem: late at night, after a delayed flight, or on the morning of a meeting. Our chauffeurs speak English, know the crossings between the European and Asian sides, and will get you to the address rather than to the general area.

For a business trip the cost sits close to what a comparable taxi journey runs to, but with a known car, a known driver, a receipt and a fixed figure you can put through expenses without explanation.

The E-Class covers arrivals and departures at Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), plus journeys between any two points in Istanbul: hotel to meeting, office to the cruise port, or across the Bosphorus and back.

On arrival your chauffeur is inside the terminal with a sign and messages you on WhatsApp so you know precisely where he is. On departure he arrives early, and we advise on when to leave based on the day and the hour rather than a generic estimate. Motorway tolls are already in the fare.

One Fixed, All-In Price

The E-Class fare on this page is for the vehicle, not per seat, and it covers luggage, tolls, taxes, the meeting at arrivals and the waiting time if your flight is late. There is no meter and no surcharge added at the end of the journey.

E-Class journeys are settled by card, and the price shown already includes the card-processing fee, so the number you see when you book is the number you pay. Your confirmation and booking reference arrive straight away.

Journey Times and What to Expect

From Istanbul Airport (IST) to the European-side business and hotel districts the drive is usually 45 to 60 minutes, and from Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) across to the Asian side is broadly similar. Crossing between the two continents adds time, and at peak hours it can add a great deal of it.

We plan around that rather than quote you an optimistic number. For departures we advise when to leave based on the day and the hour, and the chauffeur arrives early. For arrivals the flight is tracked, so the car is there whenever you actually land, however far the schedule has slipped — and the waiting costs nothing.

Bottled water is provided on board and Wi-Fi is available for the journey. Child seats and boosters can be fitted at no extra charge if you tell us the ages of any children when you book.
